Just a few minutes’ drive from Roestock Meadows, Colney Heath School and Nursery provides care and education for children from preschool age through to Year 6. There are also several primary schools in nearby Hatfield.

As children move into secondary education, you’ll have a choice of schools including Beaumont School and Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School in St Albans, and Bishop’s Hatfield Girls’ School in Hatfield.

St Albans railway station is just over 10 minutes’ drive away, and from there you can take direct trains to London St Pancras in as little as 22 minutes. If you need to get to London Kings Cross, Hatfield station is a similar distance away and connects you to the capital in less than half an hour.

Junction 3 of the A1(M) is just a couple of miles from the Roestock Meadows community, linking you to Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage to the north, and the M1 and M25 to the south. If you need to travel even further, Heathrow Airport is just 35 minutes away by car.

For the widest variety of shopping and dining however, jump on the train from St Albans or Hatfield to get into central London in under 30 minutes. You can explore Bond Street’s luxury boutiques, hit the iconic Oxford Street flagship stores, or find your new favourite independent brands around Camden, London’s best borough for one-of-a-kind shopping. And then there’s the food: Michelin-star restaurants sit alongside trendy eateries and world-famous chains. With the capital’s attractions so easy to reach from Roestock Meadows, it will be a tough choice between staying home to enjoy your new kitchen or ticking another London restaurant off your list.
