We build the houses. You build the communities. Bellway developments are designed to evolve into thriving neighbourhoods, each with their own unique characteristics and identities that make them a great place to live.
From children’s play areas to shared green spaces, and features inspired by their location, no two new Bellway communities are the same. Because neither are the people who live there.
Long before we lay a single brick, we’re thinking about the future of each new Bellway community. Because it isn’t just a collection of homes; it’s a brand-new neighbourhood, rich with potential, and buzzing with life.
We think about every detail: the location, the transport links, the local amenities and infrastructure, the natural environment. These are the real foundations for a place where neighbours become friends, children grow up together, and future generations will want to move to. Something that’s bigger than anything we could ever build ourselves, and will continue to grow and evolve, long after we’ve packed away our tools and the last digger has rolled off the site.
Being part of a new community from its very beginning could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We’ve heard so many amazing stories of Bellway residents forming beautiful friendships with their neighbours. But many don’t stop there – they work together to make sure everyone in their community feels welcome, included, and right at home.
Meet the Copthorne Keep Community Group – a collective of neighbours in Shrewsbury who organise a packed calendar of social events from supper clubs to garden parties, and also take care of their estate so everyone has a neighbourhood to be proud of. Here’s their story.
Talk about a blossoming community. The new residents at our Jameson Manor development in Northumberland first bonded over a shared love of gardening, but their friendships soon grew into much more. Now, when the Green Group at Jameson Manor aren’t holding charity fundraisers or throwing summer parties on the lawn, they’re creating shared spaces around the estate like herb gardens and walking paths that everyone can enjoy.
Abbie and Matt chose their new Bellway home at Hanwood Park in Kettering to be closer to their friends and family. They never expected how many more friends they’d find on their doorstep. We caught up with the couple to find out how they’re settling into their new neighbourhood.
After moving in on March 1st 2024, the couple – and their cockapoo Daisy – have made a home of their Bellway Dingley, flourishing in a location they chose so that they could be closer to friends and family.
Abbie says: “I feel settled here. I’m glad to be closer to friends and family, and glad I can spend more time in my home with them too. We’ve settled in well.
“There’s a strong community feel to the estate. We have a group chat where we keep up-to-date with each other's lives. Someone even shared their baby’s gender reveal video in the chat over the weekend! The wider community hosts seasonal events on the green space near the development, and it’s so lovely to see everyone come together and enjoy it. We’ve had outdoor cinema nights, birds of prey showings – really different things.
“I regularly see the same groups of people as I walk our dog, and we always say hello as we pass. As I grew up in this town, there are lots of people I know buying their first home on the development, and I knew of two people who purchased Bellway properties. Our neighbours are lovely too.”
“The site is almost complete now, with only a few more houses left to build, which is crazy considering we were at the end of the building site when we moved in. It’s nice to see more people on the estate, and feel like we’re developing the community as we go. There are regular meetings at the school too, for the council and developers to let the residents know what planning has been approved, so we can all feel in the loop of how it will continue to grow over the next five years.
Trust us with the house, so you can find a home
