Nestled within the magnificent grounds of the prestigious Wynyard Hall, Regency Manor is a covetable collection of new 4 and 5-bedroom Bellway homes, with beautiful designs and an elevated specification befitting of their exclusive location.
The Draper Life showhome at Regency Manor offers you the opportunity to experience the exceptional standard of living offered at this desirable development in County Durham, and in this edition of Showhome Spotlight, we meet the interior design team who brought the vision to life and find out how you could recreate its sophisticated style in your own home.
Introducing the Draper Life at Regency Manor
Boasting five bedrooms, including three en suites and one with a dressing area, a stunning open-plan kitchen, dining and family area with two sets of French doors to the garden plus an adjacent utility room, a separate living room, and an integral double garage, the Draper Life is among Bellway’s most spectacular house styles.

Whether for growing families, or buyers who want more space to enjoy, the Draper Life offers flexibility in its layout, such as the option to use the fifth bedroom as a home office or study, and an array of possibilities for the family area – such as a formal dining space, cosy snug, or playroom.
Professional interior designers Show Business envisioned a luxurious home interior for the Draper Life showhome at Regency Manor, balancing a glamorous executive feel with warmth and classic elegance. Intended to appeal to the needs of a family, the atmospheric and boutique-feeling interior décor incorporates inviting and playful children’s bedrooms that showcase the versatile space within the Draper Life.

Part of our Life collection of accessible Bellway house styles, the Draper Life has been designed with adaptations that will enable you to enjoy your new home for many years to come. These practical adjustments to our standard Draper house style include step-free access to your home, wider doorways and hallways, clear access zones around windows and beds, and ground-floor cloakrooms that are more spacious to allow for a conversion to a shower room in the future.
Designing a showstopping showhome at Regency Manor
Inspired by Regency Manor’s eminent location within the Wynyard Hall estate, the team at Show Business embraced the opportunity to create a showstopping showhome within the Draper Life, with details such as artwork and textures given as much importance as stand-out features like the bespoke media wall, and statement chandeliers.
Amie Reeves, Sales Director at Show Business explained that they envisioned a “modern, design-conscious family that value comfort, space, and considered style” for this Bellway showhome; the interior décor of the Draper Life was therefore influenced by “high-end boutique hotels, contemporary executive interiors, and classic design details with a modern edge. We drew inspiration from aspirational lifestyle imagery that merged clean architectural lines with warm, textural layers, homing in on spaces that felt expensive but still welcoming.
“We also took practical inspiration from the layout itself, designing around the natural light, proportions, and the flow of the home.”

Using moodboards to plan out the interior concept, Amie and the Show Business team developed a monochrome colour scheme accented with warm tones, gold accents and layers of texture; the vision was “to strike a balance between luxury and liveability”, reflecting the executive yet practical and family-focused style of Bellway’s Draper Life house type.
“This Bellway home has strong architectural potential, with generous proportions and a layout that naturally lends itself to a refined, high-specification interior,” Amie explains. “We wanted to highlight the sense of space, flow, and functionality while enhancing the aspirational nature of the home.”
The interior designers also wanted the décor to reflect the increased accessibility of the Draper Life, and so “the interior has been carefully scaled and proportioned to enhance the flow of space, ensuring that users can navigate the property with ease and comfort. Clear pathways, well-balanced furniture layouts, and thoughtful spatial planning all contribute to an accessible and intuitive environment”.

Entering the Draper Life showhome through the step-free doorway, you are welcomed by a light and spacious hallway with classic yet characterful panelling, and elegant herringbone flooring that leads through into the open-plan kitchen, dining and family area.
Undoubtedly the heart of the home, this impressive space incorporates a sleek, dark kitchen, which the Show Business team complemented by a ceramic dining table, chic curved suede chairs and a gold chandelier; in the family area, an inviting corner sofa facing a wood veneer feature wall with an integrated TV screen emphasises relaxation and shared family time, with a delightful view of the garden through the double French doors.

For the formal living room in the Draper Life, the Show Business designers installed a floor-to-ceiling media wall as the functional focal point, with a contemporary fireplace and integrated shelving. The team added a ‘sense of subtle grandeur’ with a statement chandelier, while sumptuous seating, eye-catching textures and warm tonal colours ensure the room feels cosy enough for family movie nights together.

Upstairs, an informal home office styled on the landing demonstrates a practical use of this ample and well-lit space; other possibilities include a cosy reading nook with bookshelves, a plant display, or even a den for the family pets. Including a dedicated space for home working was important for Amie and the Show Business team, who wanted to show that this home “supports a lifestyle that balances work, entertaining, and relaxed family living”.
All five bedrooms, and the elegant family bathroom, are accessed from the landing, and there is a useful and well-sized storage cupboard that is ideal for keeping towels and linens organised, and cleaning equipment stored out of sight.

The first bedroom was inspired by boutique hotel rooms and features a floor-to-ceiling headboard balanced by elongated mirrors on either side that reflect light around the room, enhancing its sense of space and grandeur.
A layered crystal chandelier, brushed metal furniture, and a curved suede sofa complete the lavish feel of the main bedroom, which boasts an en-suite shower room, accessed through the dressing area that has a fitted wardrobe.

The Show Business team styled the second bedroom in the Draper Life as a guest room, which would welcome overnight visitors into an atmosphere of understated opulence and comfort; a monochrome palette is balanced with a beautiful chandelier above the bed, while the dedicated dressing area and en-suite shower room offer practicality.

The remaining three bedrooms were envisioned as children’s bedrooms, including a grown-up and cool yet energetic-feeling space for a young teenage boy, and a playful, pastel-hued room for a younger girl.
Funky palm-print wallpaper is softened by light coloured furniture, and vibrant touches of mustard yellow to keep the décor charming yet contemporary for a growing child.

Finally, the fifth bedroom was imagined as a nursery, with a sweet, whimsical, and memorable décor comprising soft tones, tactile textures such as the feathered lighting and boucle furniture, and cloud-patterned wallpaper to capture the imagination.
This room could also be utilised as a study, a home gym, a playroom or an occasional guest bedroom; the multitude of possible uses for this space represents the flexibility of the Draper Life house style for every type of family, and its versatility to accommodate growing children as well as ever-evolving lifestyles.
Recreating the interior style of the Draper Life in your own home
If the elegant and exclusive interior décor of the Draper Life showhome at Bellway’s Regency Manor development has captured your imagination, the Show Business interiors team have some useful advice and insightful tips to help you recreate its style – whether you’re decorating your new-build home or giving your existing property a refresh.
Amie suggests starting with a monochrome palette and layering on warm neutrals to provide a “sleek and timeless base that instantly elevates any room. This can be softened further with warm wood finished, textured fabrics, and layered accessories for a more inviting feel”.

Her interior design team also recommend adding panelling to your home as “an accessible way to add architectural interest and boutique-style character to your home”; whether for your hallway, bedroom, or living area, panelling can be inexpensive and surprisingly straightforward to install yourself, yet makes a huge impact as it creates depth and draws your eye towards it in a room.
Finally, carefully chosen artwork can inject personality into your home and reflects your style. “Think bold, abstract pieces that tie into the colour scheme,” Amie suggests, “creating visual focal points without overwhelming the room”.
Three tips for planning your interior décor in a new-build home
Having a perfect blank canvas onto which to express your personality is one of the most exciting reasons to choose a new-build home, however it can be intimidating, with many new home buyers experiencing a phenomenon known as ‘white box syndrome’ and not knowing how to begin the interior design process.
Amie and the Show Business team have shared three must-know tips on how to start planning and personalising your new-build home interior, and bringing your dream décor to life:
Future-proof your home

“While interior design trends may come and go, your home should be a space that evolves with you and your family. Creating a versatile environment is key; consider incorporating integrated storage solutions, thoughtfully designed work-from-home stations and fluid family/dining areas.
“Functional doesn’t have to mean boring. As seen in the living area of the Draper Life, these features can double as strong design focal points: concealing wires and utilising smart joinery not only enhances functionality but also contributes to a clean, modern aesthetic.”
Be creative with trends

“Panelling has taken centre stage in recent interiors, offering an easy way to add texture and interest. Use it in your own home to bring personality into your space.
“In the fourth bedroom of the Draper Life, wallpapered panelling creates a dynamic feature wall that feels both stylish and original. Similarly, panelling in the entrance hallway draws the eye upward, adding architectural detail and a sense of warmth to transitional spaces.”
Use quick wins to elevate your design

“You don’t need a full redecoration or renovation to make an impact. Simple additions like statement lighting, textured furnishings, and striking wallpapers can instantly elevate a room.
“These design elements bring depth, character, and a bespoke feel, helping any space feel more considered and complete.”
